Lawrence says.... I have always been a fan of 'tri-Y' headers so we fabricated a set and decided to run the intake up & over the Head. Reason?? Cos it looked good! In reality the runners should be a lot shorter. The original cam has been ground to 223 degrees and .385 lift. Up from .370. Suffice to say that it (the engine) sure is a talking point. If people can actually guess at what I have under the hood they certainly get a jaw-drop when they see it. ( everybody expects I am running a V8.) Love to be different. After getting a glimpse of the tail lights we can hardly wait to see the rest of the car Jack Halton's 302 GMC started as a NOS short block and then he added Venolia forged pistons, one of our Stovebolt "Bulldog" camshafts and a reworked 302 head. The Clifford Water Heated Inlet Manifold, Nicson Style Cast Headers and GM HEI complete the package. Check out that diesel truck air cleaner! Power is for his '53 GMC 1/2 ton and is teamed up with a T-5 five speed and 3.9 axle ratio. Mark Ramano's 261 Stovebolt is Clifford equipped and has 4-barrel carb for induction. Bob has taken this 292 out of a 1970 Chevy Suburban and totally rebuilt it to stock specs. He's added the tri carb intake, Holley/Weber carbs, and brushed alum. Air cleaners. You will notice he also has used the "new" Stovebolt Cast Iron Headers and Chevy finned aluminum side covers. Elmer Stange's 265 Cu.In. Chrysler Flathead Six has an Edmunds head, marine gear drive camshaft, factory Dodge truck dual carbs and dual exhaust. Ignition is Langdon's Stovebolt's converted General Motors HEI. He plans on putting it in his '37 Dodge pick-up with T-5 Borg Warner 5 speed overdrive and original 3.54 axle. (We can't wait to see this family beauty back on the road! It's been a real labor of love.) This Chevy 235 has a rare McGurk rocker cover , Edlebrock dual carb inlet and Edmonds air cleaners on old Holley "Glass Bowl" one barrel carbs. Stovebolt spotted this neat setup at the Inliners Picnic at Lodi, California in August, 1999. This rare Wayne Chevy six shows off Stromberg one barrel carbs at the Inliner's Lodi, CA Picnic (Aug '99). Engine was installed in early 50's Chevy Coupe. Don's '57 Pontiac has an Offenhauser water heat Offenhauser intake with triple Holley Webers and straight linkage. Fenton headers make all the right sounds
