Elmer Stange's 1937 Dodge pick Up Bruce Huntley's 33 Plymouth 33 Plymouth Convertible Coupe 33 Plymouth Convertible Coupe Barry Phillips' '37 Plymouth Pick Up Tim Horninger's 1936 Chevy Standard Coupe (front) Tim Horninger's 1936 Chevy Standard Coupe (back)
Elmer has owned this pick up since 1964 when he purchaed it from the original owner, Gottfried Stange, Elmer's grandfather. This is the engine that is now in Elmer's 37 Dodge Pick up. Note the factory dual exhaust and inlet manifolds! The truck now has a T-5 5 speed using the Stovebolt transmission adapter. This is Dennis Fring's 39 Hudson flathead Six. 33 Plymouth Flathead running Langdon's Mopar Mini HEI. Three wise men Barry Phillips (Phillips Perf.), Tom Langdon (Langdon's Stovebolt) and Steve Stribling (Buffalo Enterprises) discuss the finer points of inline engines at Buffalo's shop in Arlington, WA. Barry's flat liner '37 Dodge pick-up shows off his Mopar goodies and recent installation of a T-5 five speed transmission with overdrive. Tim's Coupe is running a late model Chevy 230 Cu.In. six cylinder(what else?) with an Offy triple carb intake and Rochester Carbs. The transmission is a Muncey four speed "rock-crusher" hooked up to a '55 Chevy rear axle. The exhaust is done the old fashioned way - a split manifold and dual mufflers. Looks like it might have been a '60's gasser in it's previous life. Like that Briz bumper in the rear. Thanks to Tim and his son for sharing the end result of all their hard work with us. If you have any questions regarding the work they've done on this beautiful machine they would be glad to hear from you at (908) 213-0282.
